The snake raises her head beautifully
Rearing and attacking with practiced ease
Dancing to Floydian tunes
Telling stories of the East
Of colourful handkerchiefs and lacy stockings
She quietly teases.
Hissing and coiling at whim
Sending shivers down the spine
Of every living thing in its path
With a jazzy glide and slide
She traverses the distance to her prey
As she strikes back to attack
Her fangs poised to do their work
The world as they know it, is over for the weak!
